II (Conta-gotas)
Ele seguiu por um corredor escuro e úmido. Quarenta ou cinquenta metros adiante, a passagem se dividia; avançou pela direita. A mesma distância e, outra vez, o caminho partia-se; virou novamente à direita. Contando os passos, chegou à próxima bifurcação; para se orientar na volta decidiu-se, uma vez mais, pela via da direita. Percorreu uma sequência interminável de corredores, tendo o cuidado de, a cada desvio, tomar a mesma direção.
Então ouviu algo. Parou. Goteiras. Ou um leve chapinhar na água. Alguém vindo em sua direção. Sem fazer ruído, encolheu-se junto à parede. Cerrou os olhos, apurou os ouvidos. Esperou. Nada. Talvez fosse apenas o eco de seus pensamentos.
Seguiu pelo corredor da esquerda.
II (Counter-drops)
He continued down a dark and humid corridor. Forty or fifty meters ahead, the hallway split; he turned to the right. The same distance and, yet again, the path divided in two; once more, he went to the right. Counting his footsteps, he arrived at the next bifurcation; to orient himself, he decided, one more time, to turn to the right. He followed an interminable sequence of corridors, being careful to turn in the same direction at every intersection.
It was then that he heard a noise. And stopped. Drops. Or a light slapping of water. Someone coming in his direction. Without making any noise, he plastered himself against the wall. Closed his eyes, tuned his ears. And waited. Nothing. Perhaps it had merely been the echo of his thoughts.
He continued down the left-hand corridor.

Conta Gotas
Buretas (tubos de vidro graduado, com controle de vazão), suspensas no espaço da galeria, deixam cair gotas de água em diferentes andamentos. As gotas percutem cilindros, também de vidro, e elementos em seu interior.
A instalação conjuga três ideias: a surpresa, causada pela diversidade de pulsos simultâneos; as alterações de timbre, que nos convidam a imaginar combinações possíveis; a brincadeira visual do mecanismo, um engenho simples contendo variações mínimas – raízes da música que produz.
Counter-drops
Dropping funnels (tubes of graduated glass, with a controlled escape) suspended in the gallery space release drops of water at different levels. The drops touch sensors that set off sounds through a digital medium.
The installation brings together three ideas: surprise, caused by the diversity of simultaneous pulses; alterations of timbre, which invites us to imagine possible combinations; and the visual play of the device, a simple machine containing minimal variations, which are the roots of the music that the machine produces.
